Harvest trends for ducks and geese
Every year, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service conducts surveys that are used to estimate waterfowl hunting activity, success and harvest by species. Results are used by the Service and State wildlife agencies, in part, to establish season lengths and bag limits designed to maintain healthy, sustainable waterfowl populations.

Total number of ducks and geese harvested nationwide
NOTE: An estimate of zero does not necessarily mean that there were no geese or ducks harvested in a given year. It could mean that data were not available or were insufficient to produce an estimate.
