Photo of Jim Wortham.Steve Earsom and I continue to sit through one weather system after another in eastern Canada. We have been surveying southern Ontario and southern Quebec. Although the spring was late here, we were too late to get a good survey sample from many of the areas with which we were tasked.

We are now in central Ontario and our timing is much better in this area. The birds are here and the conditions are good. The marshes are in great shape with lots of water. However, the weather here has been fluctuating wildly, mid 80’s one day, and snowstorms today.

We still have a few days flying remaining to finish up here in central Ontario and ending in western Ontario near the Manitoba border.

We will keep you posted.
